About Us

About Counselling Line

Counselling therapy is a process based upon trust, encouragement, attentiveness to challenges, and calculated risk-taking. Your counsellor is there to support, encourage and gently challenge you to pivot towards meaningful choices. They’re there to provide a safe, authentic environment for you to explore your relationship with yourself and others.

It is not always an easy process. It takes courage, an open mind and an open heart. No one commences counselling because they’re having a great day! Usually there is an event leading to an understanding that it’s time to do something about…. (insert underlying issue).

Counselling Line aims to provide you with a safe space of your choice online via video, via Telehealth or text.

Meet Ingrid Honeybrook

Ingrid is a registered professional counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA #14831). She is currently completing honours in psychology. Ingrid’s mission is to support clients through their challenges and emerge with greater self-awareness and personal growth.

She decided to undertake training in psychotherapy after going through significant life changes. Having received wonderful support from her counsellor and psychologist, Ingrid felt inspired to help others on their journey of personal growth. With a background in physical health, Ingrid brings a wholistic approach to therapy. She is particularly interested in working with clients who are experiencing significant life changes, anxiety and depression.

The methodologies Ingrid works with are acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based practice and person-centered therapy. Ingrid’s self-care routine involves horse riding, reading, jogging, meditation and spending time with friends and family. She has two wonderful teenage daughters and has experience as a Lifeline crisis support volunteer and as a mentor for Fearless Women. She regularly attends psychotherapy for personal development as well as receiving ongoing clinical supervision.
